Transparency Policy
Last updated: April 24, 2026
This Transparency Policy describes how Tunova Labs operates openly with respect to its users, data practices, service operations, and business relationships. Our commitment to transparency is central to the trust we build with learners, partners, and the broader community.
1. Our Commitment to Openness
Tunova Labs believes that users deserve clear, honest, and timely information about how their data is collected, how the platform operates, and how decisions affecting them are made. We do not obscure our practices behind complex language or bury important disclosures in footnotes. Where we cannot share specific operational details for legitimate security or business reasons, we say so explicitly rather than remaining silent.
2. Data Collection and Use
2.1 What We Collect
We collect information that users provide directly, such as registration details, payment information, and course activity. We also collect technical data generated automatically during use of the platform, including device identifiers, IP addresses, browser type, and interaction logs. We do not collect data beyond what is necessary to deliver, improve, and support our services.
2.2 How We Use It
Collected data is used to operate the platform, personalize the learning experience, process transactions, communicate service updates, and improve content quality. We do not sell user data to third parties. We do not use personal data to build advertising profiles for external networks.
2.3 Retention
We retain personal data for as long as an account remains active or as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Users may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us at support@tunovalabs.com. Certain records may be retained longer where required by applicable legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services and Subprocessors
We use third-party services to deliver parts of our platform, including payment processing, video hosting, email delivery, and analytics. These providers are selected based on their ability to meet reasonable data protection standards. We do not grant third parties unrestricted access to user data. Each provider receives only the minimum information required to perform their specific function. We periodically review our subprocessor list and will update this policy to reflect material changes.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain user sessions, remember preferences, and understand how the platform is used in aggregate. We do not deploy third-party behavioral tracking cookies for advertising purposes. Users may control cookie behavior through their browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality.
5. Content and Curriculum Decisions
Course content on Tunova Labs is created and reviewed by our internal team and subject-matter contributors. We do not accept payment in exchange for editorial placement or curriculum position. Partnerships with external organizations may result in sponsored content, which is clearly labeled as such. The criteria used to select, update, or retire course content are based on educational quality, accuracy, and learner demand.
6. Pricing and Billing Practices
Prices for courses, subscriptions, and any other paid offerings are displayed clearly before purchase. We do not apply hidden fees after checkout. Promotional pricing is time-limited and the terms of any promotion are stated at the point of offer. Refund conditions are described in our Refund Policy. Users can request a summary of their billing history by contacting our support team.
7. Security Practices
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. This includes encrypted data transmission, access controls, and periodic security reviews. We do not publicly disclose specific security configurations, as doing so would undermine the protections they provide. In the event of a confirmed data breach that affects user accounts, we will notify affected users within a reasonable timeframe and describe the nature of the incident and the steps taken in response.
8. Platform Availability and Service Changes
We aim to maintain continuous availability of the platform but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance is communicated in advance where operationally feasible. In cases of unplanned outages, we communicate status updates through available channels. When we make significant changes to features, pricing structures, or terms of service, we provide advance notice to registered users before changes take effect.
9. Account Actions and Access Restrictions
If an account is suspended or access to content is restricted due to a violation of our Terms of Service, the affected user will be informed of the reason and given a means to appeal the decision. We do not terminate accounts arbitrarily or without cause. Repeated or severe violations of platform rules are handled according to a consistent internal process.
10. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems
Some features of the platform may use automated systems or machine learning to personalize content recommendations, generate assessments, or surface learning suggestions. Where such systems influence the user experience in a meaningful way, we will describe this clearly within the relevant feature. Automated systems on this platform do not make binding decisions about users without human review where those decisions have significant consequences.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Transparency Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable requirements. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will communicate material changes to registered users through email or an in-platform notice before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after a change has been communicated constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
